   “Raw Beginners”

Howdy,

So you’re a “Raw Beginner”. Don’t know your left foot from your right, can’t count up to four without thinking about it, are very nervous and are positive you can’t learn to line dance; but you’ve decided to give it a go anyway.

Great, but the truth is that all of the above is wrong, except that you probably are a bit nervous. Virtually everybody is, on their first day, but by the end of their second or third, they are quite comfortable; and your first day, in addition to learning a lot of line dance terminology like a “vine”, a “scuff”, a “hitch”, a “stomp”, and a “Rawhide Swing” etc, you will also learn three or four dances.

We’ve been teaching line dancing for seven years, and during that time have taught literally thousands of “Raw Beginners”. We meet new ones every week and sometimes at special shows several hundred at a time.

We advise this, not to impress you, but to reassure you that we do know what we are talking about, and if you are prepared to simply accept our guidance for your initial two or three classes, you will be fine. it is very important, however that you are consistent and turn up for the initial few weeks. “Floating” in and out, at any level, simply doesn’t work.

Some pick up fast on their first day, some take a week or two to settle down, it really doesn’t matter. The main thing is that you are having fun whilst you are learning and that you can see that you are definitely improving.

Your first class is “FREE”, and whilst you can get a “three class pass for $18.00″, whenever you bring a friend along your “both in free”.

“Rawhide” shirts are $34 and whilst the “Rawhide name badges we supply are free, they are not compulsory. We do find however that “Rawhiders” relax much faster, mix much better, get on with enjoying themselves much quicker and have many more friends.

Some “Raw Beginners” feel that everybody is watching them. In fact only ourselves and our leaders are, and this is so that we can help you.

Please don’t hesitate to speak to us at any time. “Rawhide” is a very friendly Club and we sincerely want to help. And now the best news, you will only be a “Raw Beginner” for a few weeks.
